¾” Flat

No. 2 Round

No. 12 Bright

No. 6 Bright 

 

Other Social Artworking Supplies Needed:

16” x 20” Social Artworking canvas, water basin, palette, stylus or pen, grey transfer paper

 

Instructions: 

TRANSFER PATTERN 

Follow original instructions excluding clouds. 

REVISED STEP ONE

Use ¾” Flat Brush and Cobalt Blue to paint sky starting at the top of the canvas and mixing in Titanium White while painting down to create gradient. Refer to photo. 

Mix (4) parts Violet and (2) parts Cobalt Blue and paint top half of the sky blending down. Rinse brush.

Use ¾” Flat Brush to mix (1) part Titanium White with small amount of Chrome Yellow. Use mix to paint horizon, overlapping sky slightly and avoiding blending. Refer to photo.

ADDITIONAL STEP EIGHT

Using No. 2 Round Brush mix (1) part Chrome Yellow, Violet, Cobalt Blue, Bright Red, and Green Oxide with (1) part Titanium White to make pastels. Use these pastels to paint the fireworks. Paint one firework in each color and then go back and add more color to each one. Refer to photo for inspiration.
