Create this fall version of the popular "Blooms" design created for us exclusively by Mark Montano. You must purchase the original pattern to be able to complete this variation.

Paint Colors Needed:

Burnt Umber

Chrome Orange

Deep Red

Deep Yellow

Green Oxide

Mars Black

Titanium White

Use original instructions, making the following changes:

For STEP ONE:

  • Use No. 8 Bright Brush to mix (3) parts Burnt Umber, (6) parts Titanium White, and (1) part Black. Use mix to paint background behind flowers, painting loosely and leaving visible brushstrokes. (No need to be perfectly precise). Rinse brush.

For STEP TWO:

  • Use No 8 Bright Brush to mix (3) parts Burnt Umber (2) parts Deep Red. Use mix to paint all flower centers and center ring of three dahlia flowers. Save mix for next bullet. Do not rinse brush.
  • Using same brush, mix (2) parts Deep Red to mix from bullet 1. Use new mix to paint middle row of petals in three dahlia blooms, blending inward slightly. Save mix for next bullet. Do not rinse brush.
  • Using same brush, mix (3) parts Titanium White with mix from bullet 2. Use new mix to paint outer ring of petals of three dahlia flowers and outer ring of all flower centers.

For STEP THREE:

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush to mix (2) parts Deep Yellow with (1) part Titanium White. Use mix to paint all sunflowers.

STEP FOUR:

  • Use No 8 Bright Brush to mix (1) part Green Oxide with (1) part Burnt Umber. Use mix to fill in leaves. Rinse brush.
  • Use same brush to mix (1) part Chrome Orange with (1) part Burnt Umber. Use mix to fill in clovers. Rinse brush.
