Titanium White

Phthalo Green

No. 8 Bright

No. 12 Bright

No. 2 Round

 

Other Social Artworking Supplies Needed:

12” x 12” Social Artworking canvas, water basin, palette, stylus or pen, grey transfer paper, Social Artworking Marker

 

Instructions:

TRANSFER PATTERN

Follow the original instructions.

STEP ONE

Follow the original instructions except with (3) parts Titanium White and (1) part Phthalo Green instead of the original mix. 

STEP TWO

Follow the original instructions but use (1) part Chrome Orange and (1) part Titanium White for the sweater stripes. Save mix.

REVISED STEP THREE

Use No. 8 Bright Brush to mix (2) parts Venetian Red and (1) part Burnt Umber. Use mix to paint shadow under scarf using long, single stroke. Rinse brush. Save mix. 

Use same brush to mix (4) parts Titanium White with (1) part Burnt Umber. Use mix to paint muzzle. Rinse brush. Save mix. 

Use orange mix from Step 2, add (2) parts Titanium White, and paint thin stripe in center of wide stripe on sweater. 

REVISED STEP FOUR

Use No. 12 Bright Brush to mix (1) part Phthalo Blue and (3) parts Titanium White. Use mix to paint sweater stripes with "X" shapes, painting sweater stripes with thin coat, so "X" shapes can still be seen. Rinse brush. Save mix. 

Use brown muzzle mix from Step 3, add (2) parts Titanium White. Use mix to paint nose with No. 2 Round Brush. 

Use No. 8 Bright Brush to mix (4) parts Titanium White with small amount of Venetian Red. Use mix to paint cheeks and inside of ears. Rinse brush. 

REVISED STEP FIVE

Use No. 12 Bright Brush to mix (3) parts Venetian Red, (1) part Chrome Orange, and a touch of Titanium White. Use mix to paint red stripes on either side of stripes with "X" shapes and every other stripe on scarf. 

Use blue mix from Step 4, add (4) parts Titanium White, and paint remaining stripes on scarf. 

Use (2) parts Phthalo Blue, (1) part Burnt Umber, and (1) part Titanium White to paint "X" shapes on sweater. 

REVISED STEP SIX

Use shadow mix from Step 3 to paint shadow stripe back in under the scarf. 

Cut leaf pattern out and trace in various places. Make a leaf pile in the bottom right corner. 

Use No. 2 Round Brush to paint leaves in Phthalo Green, Venetian Red, and Chrome Orange (each mixed with a touch of Titanium White). 

REVISED STEP SEVEN 

Use No. 2 Round Brush to mix (1) part Burnt Umber and (2) parts Titanium White and paint stems and vines on leaves. 

Use Social Artworking Marker to outline eyes, nose, and mouth. 

Trace "Hello Fall" using the pattern in Step 6 and paint the letters using a mix of (1) part Phthalo Blue and (6) parts Titanium White.
