12” x 12” Social Artworking canvas, water basin, palette, stylus or pen, grey transfer paper.

 

TRANSFER PATTERN

  • Download the revised pattern PDF with "Cozy Cabin Snow Globe" details. Trace and transfer pattern onto canvas. See methodology for detailed instructions. 

 

REVISED STEP ONE & TWO

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush to mix a small amount of Green Oxide, a small amount of Cobalt Blue, and (4) parts Titanium White. Use the mix to paint background around snowglobe. Rinse brush. 

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and Titanium White to basecoat inside of the snow globe. Rinse brush.

 

 

REVISED STEP THREE

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and Phthalo Blue to paint the sky portion of the snow globe. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and (1) part Cobalt Blue mixed with (1) part Titanium White to paint the mountains in the snow globe. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 8 Bright Brush and Raw Sienna to paint the windows and plaque. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 8 and Burnt Umber to paint the cabin, tree trunks, windows, and snow globe base. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 2 Round Brush and (1) part Green Oxide mixed with a small amount of Burnt Umber to paint the pine trees. Rinse brush.

 

REVISED STEP FOUR & FIVE

  • Use No. 2 Round brush and Titanium White to paint snow, chimney smoke, snow on trees and highlight plaque. Rinse brush.
  • Use No. 2 Round Brush and Mars Black to paint the Let It Snow and dots on side of the plaque. Rinse brush.

 

 

REVISED STEP SIX

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and Titanium White to dry brush frost highlight on the left side of the snow globe. Rinse brush
