Other Social Artworking Supplies Needed:

16” x 20” Social Artworking canvas, water basin, palette, stylus or pen, grey transfer paper.

 

REVISED STEP ONE

  • Use ¾ Flat Brush to mix (6) parts Titanium White with (1) part Mars Black. Use mix to paint entire canvas. Use damp paper towel to dab on texture while paint is still wet. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.

TRANSFER PATTERN

  • Download the revised pattern PDF with "Baby It's Warm Inside" details. Trace and transfer pattern onto canvas. See methodology for detailed instructions. 

REVISED STEP TWO & THREE

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush to mix (1) part Raw Sienna with a small amount of Burnt Umber to paint the hat and word WARM. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 2 Round Brush and Titanium White to paint the brim and pom pom on hat and hot chocolate cup. While paint is still wet add a small amount of Burnt Umber to shade the hat and hot chocolate cup and fill in hot chocolate.

  • Use No. 2 Round and Titanium White to paint steam coming from cup. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 8 Bright Brush and (3) parts Deep Red mixed with (1) part Phthalo Blue and (1) part Phthalo Green to paint the words BABY, IT’S, and INSIDE. Save mix. Rinse brush.

REVISED STEP FOUR & FIVE

  • Use No.2 Round Brush and saved mix from STEP 2 to paint lines on the hat and word WARM. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 2 Round Brush and (1) part Raw Sienna mixed with (2) parts Titanium White to paint double lines going in opposite direction to create plaid on hat and word WARM. SEE PHOTO FOR PLACEMENT. Rinse brush.
