Other Social Artworking Supplies Needed:

16” x 20” Social Artworking canvas, water basin, palette, stylus or pen, grey transfer paper

 

TRANSFER PATTERN

  • Trace and transfer pattern onto canvas. Refer to methodology for detailed instructions.

STEP ONE

  • Use ¾” Flat Brush to mix (5) parts Titanium White with (1) part Cobalt Blue. Use mix to paint sky background. Rinse brush.

  • Use ¾” Flat Brush and double load (1) part Green Oxide and (1) Part Phthalo Green to paint grass around/under rocks. Rinse brush.

STEP TWO

  • Use ¾” Flat Brush and (1) part Mars Black mixed with (5) parts Titanium White to paint the top portion of rocks. Rinse brush.

  • Use ¾” Flat Brush and (1) part Mars Black mixed with (3) parts Titanium White to paint the middle portion of rocks. Use No. 2 Round Brush to paint the roasting sticks. Rinse brushes.

  • Use ¾” Flat Brush and (1) part Mars Black mixed with (1) parts Titanium White to paint the bottom portion of rocks. Rinse brush.

STEP THREE

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and (1) part Raw Umber with (3) parts Titanium White to paint center of logs using a circular motion.

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and (3) part Raw Umber with (1) parts Titanium White to paint the logs. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 2 Round Brush and Raw Umber to add some wood grain lines to logs. Rinse brush.

STEP FOUR

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and Chrome Yellow to paint the fire, embers near rocks, and to highlight the top of rocks.

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and Chrome Orange to paint the fire and embers near rocks.

  • Use No. 12 Bright Brush and Bright Red to paint the fire and embers near rocks. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 2 Round Brush and (1) part Burnt Sienna with (1) part Titanium White to paint hot dogs. Rinse brush.

  • Use No. 2 Round Brush and Raw Umber to shade the bottom of hot dogs. Rinse brush
